BBQ Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- In a medium saucepan, combine the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic, smoked paprika, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt and pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer the sauce for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens.
- Remove the sauce from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
- Use the sauce immediately or store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
This recipe makes about 2 cups of BBQ sauce, which can be used to brush on meats while grilling or as a dipping sauce. It's a versatile sauce that can be used on a variety of meats such as chicken, pork, beef or even vegetables. You can also adjust the sweetness and spiciness to your preference by adjusting the amount of brown sugar and cayenne pepper. Enjoy!
